I see that I did post this sometime back in April of 2008, but since then I've found a little bit more about this one.
In 108 AD, the Roman Emperor Trajan built two lighthouses at Centumcellae, now Civitavecchia. In 1616, Pope Pius V built a new lighthouse on the foundation of one of the Roman towers, and in 1860 Pope Leo IX had a second-order lantern installed on the tower.
The lighthouse was largely destroyed during World War II, and after the war a new tower was built as a historic landmark. However, the replica is much more slender and does not have the stepped form of the historic lighthouse. Located on the old waterfront of Civitavecchia
This strange looking one was on the Amalfi Coast - according to the signs on the fence it was in a Zona Militare/Divento di accesso which I interpreted to mean - no trespassing.
I think this is the Castellammare di Stabia which is at the southeast corner of the Golfo di Napoli only three or four miles south of Pompeii. When I first saw it, I didn't have a chance to take a picture, so on the way back, I was keeping a lookout for it. The lighthouse is located on the Via Panoramica overlooking the town and harbor.
When we got down to Amalfi, I took a picture of the aid to navigation at the end of the breakwater.
I also took some pictures of the various towers where lookouts were posted to warn of attack by the Turks.
As we were leaving port in Naples, I saw the Faro di Napoli at the end of the mile long Mole di San Vincenzo, the main breakwater for the harbor of Naples
This station at the end of the mile long Mole di San Vincenzo, the main breakwater for the harbor of Naples was established in the early 1900s, but this actual lighthouse was built after WWII. A taller tower was destroyed during the war. It was inactive for a time in the 70s because it was damaged by a storm, but has been reactivated. It is a round masonry tower with lantern and gallery, painted red with white trim. The lantern dome is gray metallic.
The statue is of of San Gennaro.
This is another one, not as good. It does look as though there are people out at the end fishing, although the Lighthouses page says that it doesn't appear that anyone can walk out there.
