Cruising Home!! Day Fourteen.. - 08/08/04 02:02 AM

When we went by the Grand Haven Lights, I found they still hadn't fixed the sign, Gary, so I took care of that with a little Photoshop..

I did find at least one reason, Gary, to shoot the lights at high noon in the summer, instead of very early morning and during storms!!

This is a good example of how if you move your feet just a little..

You don't have to know how to use Photoshop to make people disappear... I just walked foreword to a spot on the otherside of the family fishing..

I grabbed a quick shot of the Coast Guard ships in post.. As we were driving out of town and I was talking to John Chidester on the cell phone, he said Dave H was on the other line. After I hung up the phone it rang and it was Dave who was driving from Holland towards Grand Haven as we were driving from Grand Haven! Dave and familY were heading up to Grand Haven for the Coast Guard Day Celebration!

A quick stop at South Haven then on to...

Do they really need a fire in the fireplace on an 80 degree day?

One more quick flower shot and then..

A quick early afternoon lunch at Swing Belly's..

Then on to Indy... the cheapest gas I purchased on the whole trip was when I filled the tank in Indy at $1.76 a gallon!

WONDERFUL travelogue, Paul! I said before that you won the Girty Award for best travelogue of 2004, and it's true! I have just gone back and re-read the entire trip in commemoration of your return. What are the stats?

Thanks for taking us Wackos along! laugh

I'm envious. I wish I could get to take such wonderful trips.
