I think that Avery Point would be perfect.

For some reason I picture Avery Point coming out as a Society Gift, included with your membership in the Collector Society. I've never visited Avery Point but have seen several pictures posted by those who have worked hard to support the restoration. I think it will definitely be made, but the question is "when".

AVERY POINT - SOONER than LATER! YES! Quite a lot of hard work went into restoring this light and I think it would make a fine HL.

The latest "Chapter Chatter" from NELL states that Harbour Lights will be a big part of the Relighting/Rededication Ceremony at Avery Point (probably in May 2005) and that Harbour Lights collectors will be happy to add this very unique lighthouse to their collections in 2005. I'd say you have a good chance of winning if you bet on this arrival in early 2005.

I like your way of thinking Ron. I'll wait and see.

Hello? Is there anybody there? Those are the two questions I should be asking myself. I spent a considerable amount of time conversing with Bill last Sunday and I forgot to ask him about what was coming up for next year. Oh well, maybe next time.

Well we all got caught by surprise with the announcement in the latest Legacy about the Autumn version of Hereford Light in NJ. Harbour Lights managed to sneak that one in without any advance intelligence on our part. The picture of the new Autumn Hereford really looks nice. It should be a good seller.

It you attend a Bill, Nancy, or Kim "signing" ask some questions about what's in the works and when will it be released. We need more reliable rumors to keep this particular thread interesting.

Bob,

Didn't the Legacy say that it would be available for/at the NJ event which is this weekend (10/16-17)? A local dealer is attending one of the signings this weekend with Nancy in (or near) Richmond, VA so should either have one of these pieces, have ordered one for (at least) myself, or the particulars on any hold ups (if they exist) by next week.

Hey Ron? Can you use a little "NELL magic" and convince Harbour Lights to make the Spring Regional at Avery Point? Wouldn't it be great to have a Regional back in the New England area!

Hi Steve, ...I really don't know what to tell you in answer to your inquiry. It would certainly be a large plus to have the new Autumn Hereford at the NJ event, especially if there is one dealer there reaping the monetary gains. Time will tell!

Re: 2005 - 10/12/04 06:45 PM

I can't say it will be for sure but the last two years Nancy has been at Hereford Inlet during the Challenge and they sold a large number of pieces both years- including the set of NJ Lighthouse challenge LLOM last year.

It looks like Kim will be at Hereford Inlet this year so I'd expect her to have a supply there for her to sign.

Also look for Halfway Rock, Owl's Head and perhaps Wood Island.

Mike,

Are you predicting a "BANNER YEAR FOR MAINE HL's"? Sure would like to see all of those made. Tiem will tell.

Originally from New Jersey, but, being raised outside of Erie, PA, I cast my vote for the Erie Land Light. This is flacoastie and I am responsible for this message.

I'm for ll those Maine lights! Especially Owl's Head.

Re: 2005 - 10/18/04 02:59 PM

Erie Land would be a good choice Rich, especially now that it's got its new lantern room. I have the Erie Land LLOM which is nice and could represent the "before" version. But then if the new lantern room is a more accurate replication of the original perhaps a new version of this light should be classified as "before" and "now" and the LL tagged as the "interim" version! smile

Re: 2005 - 10/18/04 08:50 PM

Well, I found out next to nothing on the Hereford Inlet piece as my dealer was unaware that there were two representations (Legacy and HL site) with different pictures of the same piece. They did not bring any to the signing (which he blames the rep(s) - who he described as dense on a half shell, not Nancy) and the MI fall piece (HL#313?) was on back order to Harbour Lights.

Anyone else had better luck?

I also believe that we might see a lighted "lightship" piece this coming year.
