HL Contest - 01/29/00 02:19 PM

Is there any information on this year's contest out on the website or forum. I think last year there was a tab on the contest telling you how to register. I don't know if I am overlooking it or it's not there.

Hi Joanne,

Seems to me you send your receipts to El Cajon when you purchase a HL and you are entered....

Hmm. I overlooked that, Joann. I'll get the info for this year from HL and get it back up. Thanks for the reminder.

Rats! I should have kept quiet. Maybe those of us who are involved in the forum would have had better odds at winning if we're the only ones who knew of the contest.

Oh well,

Gee, Joanne, I was working on deciding what lighthouse I would like produced. Now everyone will be entering again. Guess I'll just have to try and buy even more to increase my chances!

I still don't see anything about a contest on the HL website. Is there really one this year or not?

Hi Larry,

While doing some desk housekeeping, I reread the Vol.6, No. 4 Legacy. It the latest one I have received. On page 11 the "collectors Contest" says: Back by popular demand is our Register and Win Collectors' Contest! Just send your registration card and authorized dealer receipt date 1/1/2000-3/31/2000 for purchase of any HL collectible lighthouse(does not include TLLOM.) Each lighthouse purchased creates one entry into the prize drawing. In April, we will draw names of several lucky winners. The prizes will include-- 1. All expenses paid lighthouse tour for two. 2. A weekend stay at a lighthouse B&B for two. 3. The opportunity to choose a future lighthouse for HL to produce. 4. Rare HL artist proofs.

Question: Do we get an official registration card from our dealer? Last year I just sent in the receipt and a note.

I need Lady Liberty and American Shoal to arrive at my dealer so I can enter again.

Derith,
The registration card referred to is the post card that comes with each new HL.

Dave

p.s. I just did a search using the new Site Search on the HL main page for "register & win" and it found the registration form for last year. Would post alink, but it only showed the main (default) page address.

Thanks Dave for that info.

Maybe my words to myself should be, "Duh", one of those "part timer", moments.

I will go and get the cards for Round Island and Oak Island out of their hiding places.
