A celebrity among us ? - 08/08/99 06:02 PM

While on vacation a few weeks back I was passing by this building and realized that we have a celebrity among us,

But apparently quite modest, I don't know if it was due to his charitable actions or work with the under privileged or what but the second picture says it all.

I don't know how it may relate to the story but Bill Clinton lives across the street from this place.

Does not surprise we at all. Our Art is so humble yet so talented. Don't mess up a good thing and contaminate him from across the street.

Why do you think Bill is so set against a tax cut? My new house is not yet paid for. He was counting on that money.

Sorry I missed you Mark. Did you go inside? Were my servants helpful? Did you like the decor?

You may have noticed that there are no Harbour Lights inside. I don't trust the security system here. I keep the HLs at my hovel in Tennessee.

I'll bet you are wondering to what I owe such a gesture of gratitude from Bill. For the last three years I've been secretly advising the Clintons on matters relating to Harbour Lights. Hillary says they've been better than pork belly futures.

Hillary also stated what a big fan she was of HL's all her life. Didn't you see her with the new HL baseball cap on?

Didn't Al Gore once say he invented lighthouses too, or was that the internet?

Al did invent the internet (acording to Al) and didn't claim to have invented lighthouses, just the Fresnel lens used in them.

And Art, your staff at your Washington location was somewhat less than friendly, as I aproched the front door to see if your were in they fired 2 shots over my head from the mailbox slot and yell GIT ! So I assumed that meant you were busy and couldn't come to the door, so I yell back that I would come back some other time when you wern't as busy.

That was not gunshot. They were plates that Hillary was throwing at bill. Note the lower case.

Sorry about that, Mark. They're just bucking to get the HL collection relocated there next year. They're showing off their ability to guard it. Next time, call in advance and I'll have them show you in.

Just looking, are you sure that the current owners aren't named Morticia and Gomez Adams. maybe Art is the long lost "Cousin Art" whose dissapearance years ago forced the Adam's to immortilize him by dedicating the mansion in his name. Look closely and you might see uncle Fester still peering to the horizon waiting for his much anticipated return.

Is this where the new HL wall unit is going? Think you'll have to increase the dimensions a bit......

OK, OK!

After hundreds of thousands of backchannel requests to reveal the secrets of the plan that I masterminded leading to the First Family's success with Harbour Lights investing, I decided to tell all, right here in these fora, right now.

Hopefully, I might finally get a good night's rest for the first time since going public with my Advisor-to-the-President status.

Are you ready? Here's the closely-guarded secret to success. It is simple a three-step plan, and it's worked without fail so far.

Step 1: Buy Coquille River LE, HL111, at retail. Buy as many as you can. Mortgage the house. If the house is owned by the taxpayers, so much less the risk to you.

Step 2: Sell Coquille River LE, HL111, at inflated secondary prices. Sell them only to people over 95 years old who agree to leave them to you in their wills.

Step 3: Upon inheriting the HL111, repeat Step 2. Repeat as necessary to acquire the desired wealth.

The fine print: Harbour Lights investing can be risky. Investors can and do loose money. Consult with your investment advisor and other financial professionals before trying this yourself. Above all, please notice that this is in the HUMOR forum. That means it's a joke. Sorry if you don't get it, but the author will not be held responsible if you attempt to do anything stupid with this information. The opinions above are those of absolutely no one, including the author, and do not necessarily represent the opinions of this website, its webmaster or contributors, Lighthousekeepers, Harbour Lights, or Younger & Associates.

Be it F.Lee, Barnum, Flea, or whatever, the man is as old as the building in the picture, and maybe as ugly..
