Lighthouse License Plates - 12/26/99 11:40 PM

I don't know if this subject has been brought up before. I am curious to see if anyone has a lighthouse on their vehicle license plate besides me. I live in Ohio and we can purchase a special plate which has Marblehead Lighthouse on it for $25.00.
The money goes to help clean Lake Erie.
I also personalize my plates for $35.00 more. ( I have it bad!)
In the past I had "BEAM" and "BECONS". Now I have "LITHSE".
I would like to hear from people from other states that have lighthouses and have the opportunity to purchase them for their vehicles. THANKS!

Here in NY we have the Statue of Liberty and also if you live on Long Island you can get Montauk Point. I have the SOL with the letters LGT KPR.

As a Massachusetts resident, one of our vehicles does have a lighthouse license plate. This is the C & I (as in Cape and Islands) issues which depicts a likeness to Nauset Beach. A great looking plate!

I will have to investigate when I get home to see if there is a FL plate that is available. My husband has his own special plate for his car and I would love to have one on my van. Now, I have a job to do when I get home.

North Carolina has a plate with Cape Hatteras on it. The picture of the lighthouse is much smaller than the ones on plates from other states. We have one on our vacation vehicle that says KPRCH.

Also, while traveling home for Christmas we saw a Delaware plate with the silhouette of a lighthouse, Harbor of Refuge maybe? Anyone from the 1st state who can tell us for sure?

Louisiana does not yet have a license plate picturing a lighthouse.

However, I have a personalized plate LTHOUSE.

We don't have a lighthouse on New Hampshire plates. I have a vanity plate that says "LHOUSE"

You can also get a special plate in NJ with proceeds going to the new Barneget Bay Decoy and Baymen's Museum in Tuckerton that has the replica of Tucker's Island Lighthouse ( Little Egg Harbor Lighthouse) which will open this coming spring. The LH appears on that plate. Dennis

Randy, I am sure that Lake Erie appreciates your purchase. Does this mean that the plate "BECONS" is now available in Ohio? See Ya!
