New Lighthouse Page

I just published my lighthouse webpage and wanted to share it with everyone here. It is still a work in progress and needs much work. Some of the sections at the top of the page are not yet active or set up. There are about 10-15 more lighthouses that need the pictures scanned before being put on the site and I will make those updates as time allows.

Congratulations on your new website. This will be a great link for us who want to see and learn about lighthouses. Looking at your photos was so interesting to this Southern girl who is not familiar with the lighthouses of the Great Lakes. Thanks for including all of us in on your great new adventure.

Nice website Todd. I like the slide show feature but have one suggestion. The minimum time for the slide show (5 Seconds) doesn't give each picture time enough to fully load before switching to the next picture. Maybe some people have faster connections than I do but I think that this short amount of time is not long enough to enjoy your beautiful lighthouse photos.

Congratulations on your debut Todd! You have some beautiful photos and we are fortunate that you are sharing them with us. Even set at 20 seconds they took a while to load for me. Maybe if they were a tad smaller or cropped a bit it would help?

Great site, Todd! How many hours of work do you have into it? It really looks great!

I had the same problem with the photos flipping in the slide show before they were loaded completely...nice feature though. I have it on my website too.

Thank you all for the kind words and the suggestions for making the site better. Thanks for taking the time to check the site out as well.

I am going to try to make some changes for the better and to add some new photos soon. The remainder of the photos I have still need to be scanned. I also want to add a section on the Saginaw River Rear Range Light restoration.

Between taking freighter photos for the SaginawRiverFreighters page on an almost daily basis, reporting for boatnerd.com, working on the lighthouse page, working my real job, and home life (whew!), there aren't many hours left in the day.

Hey Todd, why do you think I nurtured all that interest in someone's website. Let's see how long it takes her to notice this admission. ?32 minutes after she gets home from work?

Dad, are you talking about me? I don't quite get what you are saying though?...and I didn't get to read this until 25.5 hours til I got out of work...yes, I actually kept myself away from the computer!
