Welcome Christopher....

You'll need to hang around and post for a while. Those titles of "Newbie" and "WACKO" refer to the number of posts each person has made on the Collector Forums.

When you've reached 50 posts you 'graduate' from Newbie to WACKO and only WACKOs have Avatars. You can choose an Avatar from a selection we have or create your own. The image size needs to be 75x75 pixels @72 dpi.
