Coastal Christmas Santa

Coastal Christmas Santa - 12/24/09 09:11 AM

I just found an old Lighthouse Depot Catalog as I was cleaning up the garage. It is the 2003 "Early Holiday 03" catalog with a picture of Santa wrapping a lighthouse (White Shoal?) with garland. It was 6x5x9 inches for $48. Anyone have any ideas about this piece? Sure is cute.

Could it be the Harbour Lights HL704 White Shoal Christmas piece? (page 341 of the Offical Collectors Guide)

Apparently I am reading Angels Gate's post differently than Stan is.

I read it to say that the piece shown is:
Quote:
Santa wrapping a lighthouse (White Shoal?) with garland.
Not the Harbour Lights HL704 White Shoal Christmas piece. As Stan is suggesting.

Angels Gate can you clear this up for us? In which way did you mean to ask the question?

Is it possible to post a pic of the "Early Holiday 03" cover?

To me it sounded like someone dressed as Santa holding a replica of White Shoal and putting garland around it.

The picture is a little difficult to explain and I have no idea how I would go about sending it in a post. It is a Santa figure in jeans/red vest/red knitted stocking cap sitting on a wooden box. The lighthouse is on the box in front of him up to his chin (18" light?). The string of lights around the lighthouse lights up with 2 "AA" batteries. It was made by "Possible Dreams" in the LHD holiday catalogs of 2003 and 2004. I have checked with them and I have found nothing. It probably is a discontinued item. I just thought someone on this forum might have bought one wink .

Possible Dreams santas are considered collectibles - they are produced only so long. They produce several each year. I have one that is a Santa holding a lighthouse, but not the one you are trying to find. I purchased it at a store having a Bill event many moons ago. You might try doing a Google search for retired Possible Dreams to see if you can find one.

Yes we do have one of these. It is called Coastal Christmas and came out in 2002 from Possible Dreams. The item number is 723369 I think.

Hello Tom, I am looking to find one of these. The item was #28369 in the 03 & 04 LHD catalogs. I'm glad someone knows of these Santas. Unfortunately, I may have to search the "antique" stores to get one. Thanks to all for your help.

I have a similar one. It has 1998 date on bottom. Santa wearing a baseball cap with same lh on it, in blue jeans with suspenders holding the candy striped lighthouse (WhiteShoal). Clothtique by Possible Dreams LTD - made in China 1998

It's made of papermache.
