Harbour Lights Musings - 02/09/07 01:32 AM

I received the first bi-monthly Harbour Lights Musings newsletter today.

Mostly all old news. Hope future editions have some sneek peaks and advanced news.

Received the Musings email too. Would be interesting to see what the pin looked like that Tony gave out to dealers at the gift shows! And then find a way to get one. I don't believe my dealer attends these shows.

Re: Harbour Lights Musings - 02/09/07 02:33 AM

As Loon said, all old news except the pin. I think this is a good start and a way to communicate with the collectors on the Forums that would otherwise have to hear the news through rumors. It's also Tony's way of establishing a "friendship" with collectors. I like it!!

Okay who has the pins.
I guess I can make a few phone calls tomorrow to the major dealers.

Re: Harbour Lights Musings - 02/09/07 09:56 AM

... got mine too. OK for the first effort!

I am CURIOUS about the shake up in Legacy!

Wonder what that will be like! (And if I will get mine without having to chase it this time!)

So, Tony gave out a pin?! Well I have no chance of seeing one in my collection, until someone sells on on eBay frown

Tony sometimes calls what I would refer to as a button by the name 'pin' - so, you may actually be looking for a button of some type.

Hilari, if you still don't have yours, call HL. If I recall, you have had this problem before. All Society members should have received the link via email.

Hello Everyone, Kathy from Harbour Lights here. As mentioned in our first Musings newsletter we want to feature YOU in our April Legacy. Do you have a favorite recipe? A fun lighthouse story and/or pictures from a visit to a lighthouse? If so, I would love to see them! Email them directly to me at kathy@harbourlights.com with the subject line Musings. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you!

Welcome to the Collector Forums, Kathy! I'm happy to see that Harbour Lights personnel are showing an interest in the Collector Forums.

I've always felt that the majority of the people at the Collector Forums are an integral part of a foundation of HL Collectors that have supported Harbour Lights throughout the years. Where else could you go to get up-to-date info on what scuttlebutt is being spread by collectors in real time.

So why were only certain people sent these pins?

On behalf of Tony Constantino:

"The pin was not created for Collectors, it was created for Dealers. The intention is for Dealers to wear the pins in their stores to get Collectors to ask about Harbour Lights!"

Re: Harbour Lights Musings - 02/21/07 07:23 PM

Their is two ways collectors can get these buttons/pins.

One is to ask your local or mail order HL dealer, the other is to ask Tony.

I suspect supplies are limited.

I hope you created more than a couple for each dealer. Collectors will be knocking your door down to get one. About 5000 should be the right amount.

Sounds like a fellow CF member scored the new pin/button. Congrats, Cyndi!

Good Monday Morning!

As we begin to edit the April 10 Edition of The Lighthouse Legacy; I am surprised that there are no Gripes, Groans or Cheers!

Still time left!

Kathy,

You won't hear any complaints from me, I love reading the Lighthouse Legacy. I have also gotten use to printing off a copy of it to read in comfort on the sofa and to keep for furture reference.
