Leftover pieces of Bill Younger's Harbour Lights Collection - 12/02/13 10:53 PM

Dear Harbour Lights Collectors,

The original auction of many of Bill Younger’s rare and one of a kind pieces was a spectacular success and we are truly grateful to everyone who participated in the auction and to those who helped us get the word out to fellow lovers of all things Harbour Lights.

There were just a few pieces left over at the end of the auction that we thought should be held back for a while so that the market for these particular pieces did not get saturated and effect the value of other collector’s secondary market value. Also, there were just a few pieces that got packed up and sent to Bill and Nancy’s new home that got overlooked.

So, Bill has asked Jackie Stahl and I to make available, for the last time, these pieces from his personal collection.

We will run an auction on eBay using Jackie’s auction page. Her eBay handle is “Triplegemini”. To find the auction you can type, “Bill Younger’s Harbour Lights” in the eBay search bar.

The auction will start on Saturday, December 7th and will conclude on Saturday, December 14th.

The pieces to be offered are:

Well did anyone win a Bill collection.
I did a few low bids. Wasn't home to follow them, so lost out.

I bid on 4 of them but didn't really need them so I bid conservatively and didn't win any.

I bid on a few of them as well, but had theatre tickets the last evening of the auction so did not win any.

What is really interesting is the HIGH prices that are bid on these items and yet normal items listed on EBay or the Forums do not seem to get an bit of interests.

I personally do not think that normal collectors are bidding on these pieces and they are being bid on by investors for sale later on. I sure wish that EBay would let us see who is bidding by name like it used to be.

I put in one low bid and didn't win, But what I found interesting was that someone else put a second - HL 102 first mold green tip cape Hatteras up for auction and brought the bidding pretty much to a halt on the piece from Bill's collection and then both pieces brought much less than the previous pieces had gone for in the $4,000 neighborhood
