Dear Harbour Lights Collectors,

The third auction of part of Bill’s collection was a roaring success. Many, many thanks to all of you who participated.

We are ready for another round and as with the previous auctions there are some great pieces on offer. There are quite a few Edition #1 pieces, artist proofs, low edition numbered limited edition pieces and three gold plated pewter pieces.

There are also two pieces being offered that have never been seen or sold before. Randall Wharf, this little piece was intended to be the first in a small collection of lighthouse oddities. Even though it is a small piece (standing approximately 3 ½ inches) the cost to make it was quite high and so we decided to put the piece on the back burner for a while. This sculpture is one of only two made.

The second rarity is a bas relief sculpture of Mark Sherman’s painting of Cape Hatteras. This piece is approximately 6 inches by 4 inches and was sculpted so that when Mark’s painting was printed over the surface the piece becomes a sculptural painting. Even though this piece is beautiful, it proved to be very difficult to produce and we again decided to put the piece on the shelf for another day. There are only two of these pieces in existence.

As with the previous auctions Bill will be donating his proceeds to his favorite charity Smile Train.

I would have loved to own the Randall Warf piece, but I don't have that kind of cash. If I did, I'd give it in a heartbeat for this charity.


Too bad there wasn't a couple hundred of these and were selling for around $300 each.

I am loving the price that the Randall Warf has gotten to, since I have the other one in my collection.. Harry sent it to me with the other releases that year. He said to hold off shooting it since it hadn't been decided whether they were going to produced or not.. There were going to be three others produced in the series that never even got this far..

I thought you probably had it in your collection Paul. It is so unique.

If I had only know that you wanted the Randall Warf lighthouse that much, Randall, I would have sold you mine at the friendly price of $3,999.95...

Well gee Paul. Guess I should have checked in with you. But I would hate to remove something from the HL Museum.
