Question on HL505 - 02/22/03 04:33 AM

Can someone tell me why HL made 18,882 Amelia Island #505? Was it for a special reason?
Thanks in advance for your response. Ron

Ron,

Yes, it was for a special reason. It was the Gift Piece for Society Member's for the 97/98 Society Year.

The Gift Pieces don't have a set edition. They have an edition that is equal to the number of Memberships in a particular year.

The Society Redemption Piece is another example of a Light that has an edition that is determined by the mebers- whoever many Society Members order it within the year is the number made.

There are some other items tha HL has issued as "Timed " Editions. These are similar to the Society Pieces- they are available to order for a specific length of time and however many are ordered (not sold) in that time span, that's the number in the Edition.

The Limited Edition of The Statue Of Liberty is an example of this type of Limeted Edition. I believe it holds the record for this type of edition 18500.
