Tony's leaving HL... - 08/24/11 05:26 PM

I asked Tony if I could post something for him in the Forums, he wanted me to wait until Friday but I thought today would be better in case anybody wants to call him and wish him well in his new vocation..

Quote:

I am leaving the Gift and Collectible industry after 28 years! More than half my life time!

It has be an honor and privilege to work with Harbour Lights Dealers and collectors for the past five and a half years. The passion for Harbour Lights is infecctious. Harbour Lights is privileged to have both Dealers and Collectors, who are committed to the brand.

The business has changed and the time has come for me to take on new challenges!

I will be the Catholic Chaplain at MCI Old Colony Bridgewater MA A Minimum and Maximum Security Facility; Old Colony services include treatment for inmates with mental illness.
The greaqtest challenge will be to establish a vibrant Catholic Family, at Old Colony, committed to answering the "call to holiness".

Having met Tony on the Alaskan Cruise, I can fully understand his decision!
His calling will be challenging, but I just know he will be excellent at it!
Best wishes to you Tony!

Tony worked very hard to become ordained as a Deacon in the Roman Catholic church. He has accomplished much in the 3 years he has been ordained, and truly loves that aspect of his life. He will do well as a chaplain, and I believe the facility will be lucky to have him there.

Tony will always have his lighthouse collecting family with him by way of the special stole we gave him at our New Orleans regional event in June 2008.

On one hand I am obviously saddened to hear that he is leaving Harbour Lights, but on the other hand I am delighted that his next step in life will be a fullfulling and joyful one that he has been preparing for for some time.

Best of luck in you new position TONY, we will all miss you. Thanks for the years that you have helped us HL collectors. Best Wishes!

Not sure what will happen next on the Harbour Light's frontline in Kennebunkport, but that is another story....

Tony
Good luck in your new challenge. I appreciate all the work and effort that you poured into Harbour Lights. For as long as it lasted you put back fun and excitement back into Harbour Lights. You came up with many innovated ideas and I feel HL would not have gotten this far without you. You gave it your all and though we all hate to see you leave I am excited to see that your talents and inspiration are going to be used in a fulfilling career.

I have learned a lot about the collectable industry from you and have always enjoyed your stories about it. Maybe in you spare time you could write a book about the inside story about collectables.

Thanks again for all you have done for us collectors.
