Timing of HL Announcements

Timing of HL Announcements - 04/09/01 10:58 PM

I have a relatively simple question and I was hoping that the more experienced members of the forum might be able to answer it. I was curious about the announcements of new releases from Harbour Lights. How frequently do they make announcements about new HL's...? And, do they have a set schedule (i.e. make announcements every three/four/six months)? I assume that they operate with a similar schedule every year so I am hoping that these are pretty basic questions.

I'm relatively new to collecting and really new to the forums. So, any information that you can pass along would greatly be appreciated...

Thanks, in advance.

Hi J-

There are generally 3 times a year when new pieces are introduced.

1. End of year - a few pieces that will be introduced during the first 3-4 months of the next year. Those are the ones that are on the preview page now www.harbourlights.com/catalog/2001/

2. April - items that will ship between April and June. These are previewed at the Spring Collectibles Show - this year in Anaheim. Society pieces are named sometime in March.

3. June - items that will ship between July and the end of the year. These are previewed at the Summer Collectibles Show in Chicago. This will include the Christmas exclusive and the ornaments.

Very occassionally there may be a surprise or two along the way. For example the Society version of the 2001 Reunion Exclusive.
