We've been at a stop on voting for almost 3 days. With over 1500 members you would think that we could garner up more then 50 votes. The voting post for the Collectors Forums Special Piece has a week left. Please vote if you haven't already done so and show us that you are interested in this piece other then to just talk about it.

We need to know that you are really for this piece or are against it. If we commit to buying this piece and have to sign up for 500 to 1200 pieces we need to know where the majority of members stand. We could fall flat on ours duffs if we commit based on all the talk but no hard facts on where you all stand.

can we send an email asking people to vote in case they missed the post or just have not been on the last couple of weeks?
I know I got an email once about a donation to keep the site going.

Eventually a survey will be sent out to all members and emailing all members about this poll may confuse them and they will not take the survey serious. They may think that because they voted in the poll it will not be necessary to complet the survey. Remember, this unofficial poll was my idea to see how many members would respond and how they felt. When the survey is issued it will be from the official working group and it will count.

We will be polling all members about the ideas; we need to have a list of prospects to give them ideas of the kinds of lighthouse and a good estimate of the final cost.

Keep on posting lighthouse ideas and look for the Survey to go out in early June.

In the meantime, we'll email all members of the forum between now and Sunday and ask them to check out the idea and welcome their comments.

I believe personally that the CF can make this work and with an edition size, we can sell it out -- perhaps by inviting organized HL clubs to join the forums and support this project.

If you emailed all members of the forum between the 11th and Sunday which would have been the 15th, something went wrong.

I don't think that an email went out yet. At least I didn't get one yet. I think that John has been real busy with his new project and will get to the email as soon as he has a free moment.

Chris graduates from the technical school he has been attending for 3 years half-days tonight.

The last two years he has been in "Radio Broadcasting". Last week he was awarded the "DJ of the Year" award for second year students.

He has a second interview tomorrow for a possible intern job at a local cable/broadcast TV station.

No email recieved here in Kona.
