Cape Hatteras at the Rose Bowl Parade

Did anyone catch Cape Hatteras in the Rose Bowl Parade. It was on the Outer Banks float with the Wright Brothers plane. I couldn't believe it when it came on the screen. I quickly changed channels and caught it on two other broadcasts.

Hatteras on the Move, again!!!

I must have missed that one (I was watching parts of the parade on what seemed to be 6 or 7 different channels). Can anyone produce a picture of it?

Yes I did see it,and also switched to another channel to see it again.

Ha! More national exposure for lighthouses. Hey, anything helps.

As Paul's capture shows, the float also featured a replica of the Wright 1903 Flyer which rose into the air on the float.

Looks like there was room on the float for both the Wright Flyer AND Cape Hatteras. Too bad NC couldn't fit them both on their State Quarter.

We did see the famous Cape Hatteras and Wright Brothers float in the Rose Parade on New Years Day! What a work of art! So many hours of dedicated work in preparing this float. What a beauty!

Wonder what the "hometown" papers are saying, for their special day in the parade?

I saw it, too. There was also a picture of it in a local newspaper. I believe it was the Virginian-Pilot.

I saw the float on the screen and heard them talking about the Wright Brothers but then they cut to another scene right away.
