When the folks at HL opened a shipping crate full of Little Lights last week they discovered an added passenger - our Wisconsin Point pieces.

In a late change of plans, it was decided I should ship the pieces instead of LHDepot doing it. So, all 41 cases of Wisconsin Point were shipped to me and finally arrived this afternoon.

I will be shipping the pieces via USPS Priority Mail. Fortunately, we specified that they come to us in a re-shipper box, so all I have to do is seal the top and bottom of the box and put on the label. So far so good, and the first batch has gone to the post office. The ladies at our postal sub-station are working dilligently to get the packages processed as quickly as possible. We are trying to get them all into the system before Saturday so we can beat the postal rate increase. The down side is that there are only two ladies working at my sub-station and they also have to take care of other customers coming in to buy stamps before they increase. They are great folks, and I know that they are working as quickly as they can, working around their other customers.

I took in the first batch of packages this afternoon, and they already had about 40 of them completed when I stopped by just before closing.

If you ordered two WPs, they will come in two packages. If you ordered three or four pieces I will be consolodating them into a single carton and they will be the last group to go into the mail (still planning to have them in the system by Saturday). Some will see their pieces arrive by Friday. If all goes as planned, everyone should have theirs by next Wednesday or so. Please do not ask me where your piece is until at least next Thurday. If you ordered two pieces, they may not arrive on the same day. The pieces are labeled in batches of 12, and the boxes were in random sequence. Since my labels were arranged in numberic order based on the random draw, I labeled one entire box of product before moving on to the next.

I am confident that you will really enjoy this great piece. Harry and his team did a fantastic job designing and sculpting this piece. If you feel the need for another piece, or know someone who did not yet order one, follow the link in my signature and you can place an order. On the positive side, since I now have the pieces, they will be shipped as soon as payment is received.

Good news, Dave! It will be interesting to see who may be the first person to test the "eBay waters" with one.

I found it interesting that the the first CF Exclusive didn't appear more often on eBay. It was also nice to see some of the great bids it drew when it did. One of the few newer HL's that actually brought more than retail pricing.

I'm looking forward to receiving my two WP's soon. Thanks for all your efforts on behalf of us fellow collectors.

Thanks to the whole team that made this happen again. I can hardly wait to find those packages (2) on the porch.

Dave, a Super Thanks applaud to you. I don't know how you do it all, but we certainly appreciate it. Good on ya, brother.

Best Regards,
Roger

ALL of the pieces have made it into the system as of late this morning. Even the piece that was ordered today. The vast majority left the post office yesterday, and since they are going Priority Mail most will have them by tomorrow. (Folks on the west coast may not see theirs until Monday, as will those who were processed today.)

The ladies at my local postal sub-station did a great job getting all the packages processed very quickly. I wonder how many will be sitting on the front porch waiting for their mail person???

If mine comes tomorrow, Makayla and I will be sitting on the porch waiting. If it comes on Monday, it will be a wonderful ending to a Monday. (Mondays are alway busy days at work)

Recieved # 123 today.

My pictures don't do it justice. It looks so much better then my pictures show. It is a great piece to add to my HL collection.

Thank you, Dave and the whole team!

#24 arrived in South Lyon today. An outstanding replica of an important light. When are we going to do the lift bridge?

But seriously, great job!

Thanks again,
Dan

And so, has anyone else found the seahorse on the WP piece?

(I hope I'm correct on this - I usually can't find them!)

On the narrow end that does NOT have the steps, at sea level towards the right side. Almost looks like a floatie toy bobbing in the water against the foundation. smile

Kent,

You are absolutely correct. I'm copying your post to the thread entitled Seahorses, What Seahorses that's located ten topics below this one. In the future, please post findings in that thread as they are used to update the Harbour Lights site once or twice yearly.

Welcome to the Forums and tickled to have another member searching for those elusive little devils.

Just got back from a trip to Kansas City and found the Wisconsin Point in my mailbox - #125. It is in great shape and will be an excellent addition to my collection. I have almost all the Wisconsin "big" HLs now.

Again, thanks, Dave, for your fine work on this project.

Well, it seems that people have received their new WP pieces and tend to agree with me that they really are a well done piece and great additions to their collections. I love the great detail that has been achieved, and I really like the size. There are still pieces available. . . Those that order now will have the benefit that your piece will be shipped as soon as payment is received, so feel free to click the link below and place your order.

Be careful handling your WP - don't grab it so your fingers or thumb are touching the side rails -- they might 'cave-in' if you do that.

I love this piece!
