I understand the the Round Island, MS Lighthouse Group was able to obtain eight hundred thousand dollars for the rebuilding of there lighthouse. Congratulations to them.

Good news indeed, Lamar! Thank you for the info. I can't help but wonder what the $0.8 million could have done had it been invested before the storm, though. Granted, it might have been $0.8M dashed into the sea. On the other hand, maybe there's a lesson here for us all. Maybe we should all open our pockets just a little more to the various lighthouse preservation societies before the next hurricane season begins -- it's cheaper to invest up front!
