I'm planning a trip this summer to see all the N.C. Lighthouses. I need to know how far a walk it is from the ferry dock to the Cape Lookout Lighthose. The web site left a little to be desired. I need to know how much time it's going to take. Anyone who has been there I would appreciate the info Thanks

There really isn't a ferry dock on the island - the "ferry" (which is really just a speedboat for 8 or so people) just pulls up on the beach. My recollection is that the area the boat pulls up to is just a short walk to the lighthouse and the keepers house museum. Five minutes at the most. However, give yourself enough time to see the museum and to walk on the boardwalk walkway over to the ocean side for a nice view of the light.
