Would love to be there!! Dave arranged for our bus group to board the Mackinaw before the reunion. It was a real treat.

Mary, are you going to take pictures. I would love to see them as the Mackinaw is a favorite of mine.

Last year Sandy Planisek of GLLKA was invited to ride the Mack down to Chicago. Dick Moehl took a great picture of the ship as it headed for the Mackinac Bridge (from on the bridge).

The "Mackinaw" looked HUGE and beautiful in the waters of Little Traverse Bay in Harbor Springs today. With Harbor Point (home of Little Traverse light) in the background, and Little Traverse lighthouse around the bend! What a wonderful sight! Snow was falling, and many, many visitors were gathered to welcome the CG Cutter Mackinaw!
A special treat to see the the Mackinaw in operation today!
Many homes will have a Christmas tree this holiday due to the acts of kindness from the crew and supporters of the Cutter!
Thank you to all!!!

Wow! I thought they just took the trees to Chicago; I had no idea they actually did the cutting and baling, as well. They are pretty terrific people!

OK now I am jealous.....I know what the view is from Bright Eyes house of Little Traverse Bay. What a sight it must have been to see the Mighty Mackinaw there in all its glory with the trees on it....I hope she took a lot of pictures.... Mary and Jeff

Both of them were here in Menominee MI yesterday giving tours. I wanted to see the old Mack but I had to work The new Mack left this morning for another sea trial so I'm not sure when it will be leaving for home port

Would have been a great picture with Big Mac and Baby Mac together. I'm sure we will see some of those photo ops in the next year.

Well the new Mack was up river and the old Mack was at the mouth of the river. They didn't want to put them close together because of security reasons.
