Thought I would share! laugh

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Roxie, you got my mouth watering for my Maine lighthousing trip in October... Now I'm more anxious than ever. Which lighthouses are these?

Great pictures, Roxie! I sure like those Maine lighthouses. Now I've got to try for some sunsets and sunrises. Thanks for sharing.

Looks like Pemaquid and Portland Head, for the most part.

Roxie,

I really like the first pic. Did you use flash (made the danger sign on the fence look like it was lit neon sign.)

Great shots, Roxie! One of the best parts of the CF is the sharing of pictures from all parts of the country. Keep them coming!

I took these photos over the past couple of weeks. I was lucky to see at Portland Head for sunset last weekend, and the weekend before I was a Pemaquid Point. Yes, that is the flash off of the sign (grrr.) it actually was one of the nicer shots I took of the light. Because the lighthouse flashes it was hard to get it at full flash. Some shots of it were dim, or it wasn't lit at all. I like the colors of the sky with the light... so I'm okay with the glowing sign! Because the weather has been mild, with warm weather moving out for cooler, the sunsets and cloud formations have been really awesome. I'm going to Boothbay Harbor this weekend to see 7 more lights! So, hopefully I'll have more sunset photos to share! Thanks for all the great comments..... laugh laugh laugh
