My son found out - to his pain - that he can't fly. He jumped off a second story balcony at college on Wednesday
morning and broke his ankle very badly. He had surgery on Friday and they put a plate and screws in to keep
his ankle together. You would think that he would have found out before he turned 19 that he couldn't fly. Poor
guy. wink

I learned that lesson when I was in the sixth grade and jumped from the top of a dirt pile into the excavated basement of a new house. I landed on the cement.

Sorry to hear about your son, Eskilady. I hope everything turns out fine for him. I'd say that the pain he'll suffer for a while should be a reminder that jumping out of second story windows is not the way to go. OUr prayers will be with both of you.

Is that what they mean when they say college is the school of "higher learning!" wink Sorry Brandon, just couldn't resist.

The same thing happened to my niece's son this summer and he never left the ground. Seems as though he tried playing volleyball on wet grass, after having first sat out the rain while sipping a few brewskis! And he's quite a bit older than 19!

Now if Brandon had been trying to fly from a two storied lighthouse I suppose it would have been ok.....

He'll get tired of the forced inactivity but he will get through it. smile

I'm sorry to hear of Brandon's crash landing. He is forunate that his ankle (and pride) are the only things that are hurt. Now, I just have to ask... Why did he jump from a balcony?
