Many of you know the Ancient Mariner, sometimes known as Fred Kuhlman. Right now Fred needs your prayers - lots and lots of them. He is in the hospital right now with pneumonia among other things. His health has seriously deteriorated. It's not practical right now for folks to try to contact Fred, but I know he would appreciate your prayers. I'll keep you all posted if anything changes, but please do offer up some positive thoughts and prayers for Fred.

We were so sorry to hear about Fred and we send him our love and prayers to help him through this difficult time. He has a wonderful and caring family that are taking care of him and our prayers are with them also.

Gerri expects Fred will be released from the hospital today. (If you were at the Reunion, you met Gerri.)
Fred made the solo driving trip East with a plan to join us in Portsmouth, but the Doctors are saying "no traveling" for now. He also attended a college graduation for a grandaughter in PA and a high school graduation for a grandson in MI.

Got a call from the Ancient Mariner himself tonight. Fred wishes everyone well. He and his family are headed to the OBX in the next few days (no, he's not driving.)
He won't be able to join us in Tidewater as much as he was looking forward to it.
The call was short - but Ruthier, Terry and Jim Gullo and I were having a farewell dinner for Jim and Ruthie did get a chance to talk before Fred's egg timer ran out (three minutes is his self-imposed limit on phone calls these days.)
Got bless Fred! We'll hoist a few brews in Virgnia.

Wow, that's good news! Just sent a note out to Fred today. Sounds like he's going to be back "on the road" before he gets it!
