A few months ago someone posted a note regarding personal checks with lighthouses. I just received an advertisement from Current and they have a new lighthouse checks. They look very nice and the design is called Song of the Sea. I presently have Designer brand lighthouse checks but they are very hard to read the writing. These looks much less "busy".

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for the info on Current finally coming out with lighthouse checks. I've used them for years (Nature's Majesty), but decided on my next reorder I had to go with lighthouses. I've been pulling the advertisements out of the Sunday coupon fliers, waiting to make a decision which company to switch to. Now I won't have to. Getting close to game time here in NY.
SWEEP!

Hi DeDo,

I believe that Current is on the internet so you might be able to see the checks there.

I'm watching the game right now - top of the 8th and I'm sweating bullets! I bet Bob Scroop is biting his nails right about now.

Hi Joanne and Donna,
Kind of disappointed with the playoffs and the World Series. It seemed to easy(Obviously it wasn't!!). I was just saying to my son, I can hardly remember that we swept San Diego last year? This year had a few more highlights but I never did get nervous. I always expected the Yankees to come alive in the last few innings and wasn't disappointed. My son, who always likes to root vs my NY teams, had very little to say.LOL

For some odd reason I.O. bet me $5 last night that Atlanta would win the game. Like taking candy from a baby!

Oh, the subject was checks....I have those hard to read ones but somehow they've all been cashed with no problem, darn.

Mombo, speaking of checks ... I hope you got cash. Now I know why you use IO instead of SO!

He gave me a $5 bill with one corner torn off, or maybe it was where the moths had eaten it???

I just received the Lighthouse Song of the Sea checks from Current and they are nice. The pictures are not as bright (dark) as shown in their ads, but if they were, you could not read anything written on the checks. The pictures and sayings with each lighthouse are very nicely done. And the service from Current is great. I ordered mine over the phone and their customer service person was great help. I ordered in-plant rush service and received the checks 6 days after I ordered them. As a return customer I was also able to get a great price on my order and the cost was taken directly from my checking account. Also my old bank was recently taken over by another bank and Current already had the new bank's name ready to go on my checks. I have used Current in the past and will use them again in the future and can recommend the company to everyone.

Hi Dr. Who (Jim)

I have also used Current and was very pleased with their service, but I got tired of cat checks and wanted lighthouses and had to switch companies. I'll be happy when I finish these checks and can get the Song of the Sea.

for those of you who are interested, you can find Current on the web at www.currentcatalog.com. Sorry I do not know how to make this a link- I am mostly computer illiterate! I do have this word of advice for you- Current prefers to take orders over the phone- they often have non-advertised specials available only to phone callers. I have been ordering from them for quite awhile now, but my last order I decided to place over the net. While I have never had problems with Current before, this method of ordering turned out to be a problem. When I called their 800 number, I spoke to one of their reps who said that they really preferred phone orders. I have used Current checks for quite some time- good quailty and quick service! I'll see if I can talk my husband into LH checks on our next reorder!

Chris,

Go to "Forum about these forums" forum (is that enough forum in one sentence??). At the very top of the page is a mailbox icon. Click on that link and it will take you to a very useful pice that Tim put together containing links to everything you need to know about the forums. Look for the heading "UBB Goodies" and it will explain how to make the link active. Very easy to do. If you can make it thru pharmacy school you can make a link active!
