Last weekend I went to the Long Beach Quilt Show. I went early to make sure I had no traffic problems. I went down to the harbor to see if I could see Long Beach Horbor, there was too much haze. I could bearly see it.

After the show I went to see how the view had changed. I was able to see much better.

I also was able to see another side of Angles Gate. I had seen it from Fermin and from the end of the breakwater.

I have been sucessful in posting my first photos!!!

Where did you go to see these two? I'll be in Long Beach in February for my annual weekend on the Queen Mary...and this time, I have to put some effort into seeing these lights!

Thank you.
I followed the directions on Lighthouse Friends.
When I got off the 710 Fwy I followed the signs to Pier F. It is a public road there are a lot of security guards at each driveway, keep going to the end. I just got out and took photos the guards watched but said nothing until I ask if I could go inside to the end of the pier, the answer was a FIRM NO!!

The directions to Point Fermin and Point Vicente are easy and if time allows worth it. From the top of Fermin if it is clear you can see Angles gate and the top of Vicente.

my world tilts from time to time...sorry

Just north of Vicente is an Interpretive Center that opened in 2006 the whale watching is said to be great. It is on my list...this was taken from the road to the Center

I also just drove and am not sure if I could find the parking lot where I watched the sunset.

Have a wonderful trip!!

I did it again...

Love your photos, Nancy. I especially like the one with the cruise ship next to the Los Angeles Harbor light. your sunsets are lovely.
