Does anyone know if any of the Lighthouses in NJ get decorated for Christmas? Have they done so yet?

I've never been to Jersey to see thye lights at Christmas. I know some of the lighthouses in New England get decorated. I know that because I've seen them. I think it's a wonderful idea to get in with the spirit of the season!

We decorate the Hudson Athens Lighthouse every christmas with lights that outline the building. It looks really nice at night in the middle of the river.

I know they put a Christmas tree up in Seagirt in NJ. I don't know if they do exterior lights.

I think we're doing the decorating again. Usually, the railings are wrapped in garland, wreaths are put in the lantern and some coloured lights dangle inside. It's quite nice.

I'll ask the guy who I think is in charge of it about it in my next email to him...but it always looks nice.

Greg,
Let me know when they do it...I may pay the Seagirt LH another visit before Christmas to see it lit up.

Ponce Inlet hangs a light star near the top of the tower.

Oh yes, I would love to see some decorated lighthouses too. The only Christmas decoration that we normally have here in Germany is snow. BUT my favorite lightship always has a Christmas tree at the stern - I hope to get some nice pictures next weekend, when we meet the crew for a Christmas Coffee Afternoon.
