If you enter 01-02-2000 in for the date, and SEARCH on Robert G. Muller, you can view the article electronically for a few days.
Enter date under BACK ARTICLE and click on radio button 'dates between'.
Enter name in "SEARCH CURRENT EDITION"
Click mouse on 'blue' search button
When the search is found click on article name for the full article - "Page A23: Illuminating Our Lighthouse Legacy / Web site highlights protective beacons"

Thanks Robert for the link to the article on Bob's excellent LongIslandLighthouses.com web site. It appears you have to register to use Newsday.com. I'm sure I'll be getting email from them (and maybe others) now.
