Does anyone do a Lighthouse or Seaside Village? Using your Harbour Lights or other lighthouse figurines. I do a little seaside village in my front window. I change it for the seasons - I do a winter village, a halloween village and a summer village. We have a little pier, fishermen and other characters. It's a nice addition to the shelves of lighthouses and the other lighthouse goodies we have in our living room....

I was just wondering if I was the only nut that did this? shocked

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Be very careful sitting your Harbour Lights in a window as the sunlight will fade them... It doesn't take long for this to happen in direct sunlight...

That's good advice from Paul. I have seen a few dealers who display some of their HL's in their window. You can definitely see the paint differences than the ones displayed inside.

Roxie...I do a Seaside Village!

My "secondary" collection is Dept. 56, but I only collect the "New England Village" pieces. I've definitely given it a seaside theme, and I think it compliments my Harbour Lights.

The village gets decorated for summer, Halloween, winter & Christmas.

But do be careful of the sunlight...it's hard on everything.

I don't collect HL's (execpt for LLOM's) as they are kind of expesive..however, I do do a light up Lemax village in the bow window in my living room during christmas...with 3 lighthouses!!! During the rest of the season, I put them in my basement with my G-scale trains. A little off scale, but they look good!!! :p
