I just was looking for Retired@Retail at http://www.harbourlights.com/retired/retiredretail.htm
and found that Sean Thompson has retired (at a high secondary value but not price). To those of us who relied on his valuable services, this is the bad news. The good news is Rick Mau has volunteered to try to fill Sean's BIG SHELVES.

To Sean - Thanks for helping me from the beginning with my collection. You have a great graphic signature that we all envy.

To Rick - Good Luck and I wish you all the success that Sean had, and look foward to your help in the future. I also commit to supplying you with some references.

Sean, thanks for your help, and for even tracking me down when I forgot to add my complete email address. Retired@retail is a wonderful service!

A big thanks from all the HL Wacko's Sean. I know "my" dealer (the one I buy most everything from) thanks you too, she has sold at least 10-15 lights over the last year or so from the R@R service and internet friends. It keeps me in good standing with her, since I try to keep her "retireds" linked to you. If I had not already had most of the available pieces, I would have used the service myself consistantly.

A big good luck to Rick, you have alot of friends to help with any low stocks, don't be afraid to shout occasionally when supplies run short.

And lastly a big hello to DonnaJLM, its nice to have some more Northeast Ohio "Buckeyes" on the Forums!!!

I would also like to weigh in with my thank you's to you Sean, for the long hours and hard work you devoted to R@R. You have not only helped collector's fill in pieces they needed, or to get their collection started, but your service has also helped many dealers to sell HL's that were sitting long dormant on their shelves. It couldn't have hurt the retirement rate of pieces either!

To Rick, I am sure you will do a great job! Good luck with this new endeavor! I hope to have some new listings for you soon.

-Todd

Thanks Sean - I have to add my thanks for your help on two or three of my lights, and my dealer has also expressed her appreciation for your help in her sales. Stay cool this summer, and if you can't find cool in SoCal, just come up and collect on your dinner in Eureka where it's always cool.

Thanks again for a great job.

Rich

I too would like to say "thank you" to Sean, for his help in adding 4 lighthouses to my collection. The "R@R" is a really great service, and I am happy to see that Rick will take over this project, because it needs to continue. So "Thank you" to Rick also.

To echo what I know are the masses, another heartfelt thank you Sean, for the lights you've "shone" our way.
To Rick, you have been great to deal with in the past. I know you will carry on in fine fashion. Here is an early thank you for your efforts and we will continue to provide the sources we find in the future.
Thanks again, Mike and Patty

Anyone who wishes to provide information to R@R about retired pieces they have spotted can do so on-line by completing and submitting the following form. It's really easy, and only takes a few minutes.

Hey Rock, thanks for the lead to the Round Island. Don't be afraid to use the R@R forms if you don't have a phone number. I've looked up a few myself in the dealer list because of typos and feedback that a collector couldn't get through. And sometimes I'm just dyslexic and give 'em out wrong.

Yesterday Retired@Retail received a request for Tawas Point, which should be an easy request to fulfill. However, my return email was bounced twice for an 'unknown user' at the receiving email domain.

The requestor's email address was "bradley@..." and I think it's a military email domain.

If 'bradley' sees this, please contact R@R with a corrected email address. If anyone else reading this can offer me a clue as to the identity of this person, please contact R@R.

Thanks for your help!
R@R
