The founder’s collection was opened up to anyone that could come up with $200 to $300 (price depending on lights chosen) for three #2-#10 L.E.

In other words the founders collection was not just available for Mr. Money Bags.

The biggest news from Harbour Lights this year has to concern the Founder's Collection. There are many serious collectors who follow the Harbour Lights line, and to have the opportunity to purchase the lowest of the low number pieces is a wonderful opportunity. The opportunity to add personal pieces from Bill Younger's collection to my collection is like a dream come true. It doesn't get any better than that in obsession known as collecting HL's!

The creation of the CGC Taney in existing configuation and a WWII configuration to honor our WWII veterans.

Founder Bill Younger honored with naming of Thomas Point Screwpile through funds raised by collectors.

(I know that's two for me -- but Beachcomber seemed to think the previous ones were all the news that was.)

Anything else? Return of Cloisonne Pin for Collectors Society? Regional Events? Store Events?

Okay, so I didn't think this through carefully enough. frown Sounds like we have more than ten top stories!! applaud Return of the cloisonne pin is certainly something a lot of us wanted; it won't be at the top of the list, but it's certainly another one where HL listened and took action. laugh

For me the biggest 2007 story was the project to get the 2nd Collector Forums Exclusive ready for a 2008 release.

Starting with Harbour Lights, to what John and the work the project team did, to the input and suggestions from all on the CF, to Harry's drawings and model.

Bill Younger attends the two day Long Island Lighthouse Challenge: the first day at Cedar Island LH and the next at Huntington Harbor LH! Well, it was my Harbour Lights highlight (and those who met him) to be able to spend that time with Bill.

The renewed interest in the 'Collectors Forums' by both new and returning members. The postingss are lively again and the number of active topics rolling over to a 2nd page fairly often.

The big story is that the second collector’s forums exclusive was voted in by the forums members. As a team member I can tell you that Harbour lights bent over backwards to give the forum members the light they picked. This is the first time in Harbour Light history that a group of collectors were able to vote in their favorite light to be produced as a L.E.
