Interesting
article about RFD chips . Raises some points that can lead to real concern for many. I find it interesting that the supposed legitimate researcher (a doctoral student):
(a) presented this info to a conference of one of the world's largest group of dirtbags, hackers;
(b) she told them she would make all the details and schematics public to help them do their dirty work;
(c) she seems to be publicly trying to blackmail several governments and others by stating "The industry and government needs to not be scared of us. They need to talk with us and to work with us. Hopefully, together we can come up with some kind of reasonable compromise."
So, this is legitimate research at some foreign universities? Helping hackers to do their dirty work?
Sounds like the group is pretty self-serving, trying to force legitimate entities to use their yet-to-be-produced device to protect RFID. Not sure how effective it will be if she also is giving the hackers the workings of the device...
