Here are pictures of our New Londons and Michigan City showing the blue & green water variations. The numbers on the Michigan City's (from left to right) #287,#136 both Canadian, and #3532.
I have a second New London Ledge, #353 Can. that is pretty much the same green coloring as #255 in the picture.
I hope this helps answer some of the questions that have been posted.

I sent you some pictures for you to look at. Yours definately has the green to it on New London Ledge where the one I have is light teal blue if you can tell by the pictures. My Michigan City with green water looks like your picture on the left only my serial numer is #2343 with no rod and Malaysian made. My digital camera is cheap and I will take some better ones when my daughter come this weekend and forward them to you. Thanks for posting the pictures.
