I visited St. Augustine 1n 1953, as my first lighthouse visited, then Ponce second, and as my parents, my brother and I went on a Winter vacation down the east coast of Florida..

But the first lighthouse I ever saw was Pigeon Point lighthouse the Summer before and actually shot a picture of it with my families camera (Argus C3) from the road as I was with my Mom and three other women from the Evansville Boy Scout office.. My Dad and brother went to the 1953 Boy Scout Jamboree in California by train and we went by car to visit with them and spent two weeks on the road going and coming.. I still have the image..

Yes, Dave, they had camera's back then!! Film too!! And that as Dave will say is Ancient History!!
