We were able to visit this well maintained lighthouse on Whidbey Island over Memorial Day weekend. The volunteers were knowledgeable about both the lighthouse and Fort Casey Park, its historic location. Whidbey Island is an active military base so it was especially meaningful this past weekend.
We were able to get outstanding photographs (I hope) of both Burrows Island and Lime Kiln lighthouses from a boat ride we took.
This was a great way to spend a lovely weekend and recommend it to anyone visiting the area this summer.

Hi Gayle,
Welcome to the Forums from a fellow Washingtonian.

Weather was great over Memorial Day weekend for lighthousing. We went down to Browns' Point and Doffelmeyer; came back up Hood's Canal and visited Point No Point [10 minutes to late to tour]; looked for Skunk Bay without success; next time we go back I know exactly where to look now; we drove right by it and didn't realize it; oh well, it's not that far.

If you want to tour Mukilteo, just let me know; I am a docent there and would be happy to give you private tour anytime.

Look forward to seeing more posts from you.

Darlene
