Had a great trip but fast left Wednesday got back Monday night. Arrived at Wells Thur noon Went to Lighthouse Depot on Thursday morning stayed there 3 hrs spent lots and got lots. Kathy works with the owners brother so we looked him up and he gave us the royal tour of the place and the mail order busness very interesting. Then went to York to see Nubble light very pretty light I think it was my favorit then on to camden to Elms bed and breakfast very nice place next morning headed up coast to see a lot of lights on the way to Quiddy east and west east on Canada side very pretty we got there at hi tide so went to west then to lunch in Lubic then back to East the tide was low so we went down then up then down to see a better view it was great.
Then headed back down to camden to Elms the owners were very nice and also Lighthouse nuts gave us a lot of imfo. Recamend to any one going out there to stay there. Sun morn headed back to wells and saw owles head and couple more. Stayed in Wells Sun night. I can't get over the tide it really fascinated me how it goes in and out every 6 hours. Mon morn headed back to Michigan at Bostan went in Canada to see the falls then on to Holland arrived 11pm Mon night 17hr including stoping at the falls. 2800 miles in all AGREAT TRIP CANT WAIT TO GO AGAIN. Larry,
Sounds like one of my trips -- so many miles, so little time! Glad you are safely home. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, what a great trip! You hit many of my favorite places (and lighthouses!). If you ever go back, try to stay longer in Camden. It's a wonderful town and a great base camp for exploring the Maine Coast.

We're know for our quick trips covering many miles - but this was amazing. How did you find time to sleep?

Sleep? Are you supposed to sleep on lighthousing trips, too?

Wait til you get to Seattle - probably no eating or sleeping allowed. But you'll love all the lights in the area.

Larry,
Just reading about your quick trip makes me want to head for Maine again. The Nubble is Mary Jane's and my favorite lighthouse. I enjoyed reading about your "fast" trip, you certainly covered a lot of ground in a short time.
We are planning to go to Maine this coming June. The New England Lighthouse Lovers (a newly formed club including many HL collectors) is having an outing in Portland. We are schrduled to take a boat ride out to see the lights from the oceans point of view. Bill will also be in the area for a signing which we hope to attend.
I envy you, Larry, for your upcoming trip to Seattle. I had the good fortune to travel there on company business back in 1992 but was unable to do any lighthousing. I look forward to your report of the trip. Have a safe one.
