When you edit a message, you'll see that there will be a small "Edited by.." tag posted at the bottom.

Here's how to make that message NOT appear (picked this one up from St. Tim.)

At the end of your message, type the LEFT ANGLE bracket, then FONT ="

So, using a left Square bracket it would look like this:

But you must use the left angle bracket in place of the left square bracket above.

Here's another tip...

HTML includes characters that allow you to display the angle brackets and thus include complete HTML examples.

The left angle bracket < is displayed with &_lt; <-- remove the underscore so all characters are next to each other. That's ampersand + letter el + letter tee + semicolon.

The right angle bracket > is displayed with &_gt; <--- remove the underscore so all characters are next to each other. That's ampersand + letter gee + letter tee + semicolon.

Using this technique, we can write the code fragement to hide the comments as:



Make it easy on yourself and just cut n past the phrase in red.

NOTE: once you use this the UBB parser converts it into a real angle bracket. (tch tch) Thus, if you edit your message after initially posting it, you need to 'reset' the angle bracket characters back to the HTML code.

Where does it go? It goes just before something you don't want displayed, so to hide the 'edited by' phrase, put it after your last sentence or after your signature if you use one.
