More and more we hear about the lack of donations from the business community; what is it going to take? We know that many of these people are history buffs; why won't they become involved in saving our nation's historical structures? Is there not enough being done to educate people about the contribution which lighthouses have made to this country's maritime history? Obviously there are a lot of folks willing and able to do the work, if only they had the funding. It's really sad to see so many lighthouses deteriorating because of lack of money - which corporate America has!
