Date for the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society's Fall 2004 Meeting is Set

The weekend event has been set for October 23-24th for anyone who would like to start planning their vacation time to include this. (Last year's meeting was held in conjunction w/ the 200th Birthday of Cape Hatteras)

This year we will hold the meeting in the Morehead City area to include Harker's Island/Core Sound. Tenative plans are to include a cruise that would take us to Oak Island and Old Baldy, and also do a tour boat over to Cape Lookout and climb the tower.

As we work on the plans for this event, we will probably also schedule an array of activities for the 21st & 22nd for folks arriving early. There is a wealth of things to do in this area, including a tour of historic Beaufort. It's possible that we might also plan a golfing event.

As we formalize these plans, I will pass them on to you. If you are not yet a member of OBLHS and would like to be, go to

for information on how to join. Our members are from all over the US.

Also...stay tuned for an announcement of our BRAND NEW web site...coming soon!
