On this page (Click) it says that there are 7th & 8th order fresnel lenses. Does anyone have a picture of one (or both) of these orders and information on the size of an 8th order?

Thanks for that cool page, Zach. Never heard of them, though I may look into it. Might one of them be those little lenses used in very minor lights?

It says that the 8th Orders were mostly in Scotland. The 7th were the steamer lanterns. I think that 3" sounds awfully tiny for a 8th Order lens, even if it is Fresnel powered. Heck, the headlights in the Rover must be more powerful than that.
