The Congress of the United States passed the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act of 2000 to allow for a fair process for non-profits to have equal footing with other government agencies when applying for ownership of a lighthouse. The Outer Banks Conservationists won that process fair and square!

We must not allow the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act to be circumvented!
