The case comes with a single halogen light in the top of the case. By the time you get to shelf #7 all loaded with 'lights', there isn't much light left to go around. Since I'm also an avid woodworker I'm going to add two more at the top, and track lighting from outside to shine in on the lower case. In the daytime, no auxiliary lighting is needed, since the case is so open with glass.
