Well, my wife shocked me - I got the 2002 Christmas (Crossover, NY) light and the newest Fresnel lens - and she bought them during a store-wide 'sale'!! Even neater, a Looney Tunes goodie I told her I thought was neat - the $300 piece 'Duck Rogers in the 21st Century', complete with Daffy and the infamous Marvy the Martian. Yeah, I never grew up. Best news - it was 60% off ($120 - still too much!). Odd - the 'good deal' is more important to me than the goodie. I hope your tree had some nice pieces hidden under it for you.
Merry Christmas!
John
PS I will head back to that store in the AM - maybe the AB 'Toledo' is still there - and <1/2 price...

My two daughters "gave me" the #12 Cedar Keys I told you about in another thread. They have no idea that I was the one that paid for it.
I got a gift certificate to my favorite dealer and some cash. Hmmmmm.....wonder what I'll do with that?
Three lighthouse books, a nice matted drawing of Seven Foot Knoll and a new Bogen tripod.

No Harbour Lights but two lighthouse sweatshirts, some lighthouse dinner ware, some lighthouse collector plates and a lighted musical lighthouse tree ornament.

I found the 4th Order Lens under the tree along with a couple of Lightouse Ornaments (non-HL).
Esther also put the Trading Cards from the NJ Lighthouse Challenge in a frame.
I'm still waiting to get my present from my son- he says I should have gotten an e-mail, but it seems to be lost in space.

I found two HLs under my tree, Boone Island and Faulkner's Island. My husband also bought me the AnnaLee Santa Lighthouse Keeper from Lighthouse Depot. Really cute! That's it for LH stuff. What I still need is a LH calender or two. We still have plans to see my in-laws this weekend so maybe a calender will be under their tree. By the way we were stranded at home with a foot of snow.

Moved this over from by the numbers. I hit it big. Does the number of HL under the tree tell if you were naughty or nice or nice and naughty? Santa was good he brought Minot's Ledge La Marte Quebec Fisgard, BC Point Pinos, CA East Quoddy Christmas 1999 I can't wait until Dec 31 and see what I get for my 50th birthday. However, if history holds true, everyone will say they gave at Christmas time. lol My mother started that when I turned 18, but I have been trying to train my kids the error of my mother's thinking. Happy New Years everyone Chuck

I've mentioned this elsewhere, but this seems to be the appropriate place to have it. Under the Christmas tree for me. Fourth oder Fresnel, Crossover Island, NY, Minots Ledge (the one with the plug) a Lighthouse calendar, A New England Lighthouse calendar, Horton Point and Orient Point, NY (LLOM), a book "Lighthouses of New ENgland", and a beautiful little crystal lighthouse by Roman. Even my mother-in-law got into the act and got me a village lighthouse. From what I've read so far on this forum, it seems like everyone had a great Christmas. Bert

My family knows I'm on autoship so there were no HL's under my tree, but I was extremely pleased to find a new digital camera (Olympus C-4000zoom) plus the Legendary Lighthouse Series on DVD. And then there were clothes, etc. It certainly was a great Christmas for me, and my family! Bob

Again my presents had a lighthouse, if not an Harbour Lights, theme. The most unique present was an Old Point Loma musicbox that has a light that rotates while it plays. My wife found it in San Diego, where I hear is the only place to get it. Other lighthouse related gifts included:
A stain glass depiction of Gay head; A hand painted Boston Harbor ornament; A very nice plague of St. Simon lighthouse; A note pad block with Maine lighthouses; A 2 part lighthouse candle holder and; A set of lighthouse wine glass markers.
And to enjoy the new gifts I also got several bottles of wine, a new wine opener, an electrionic wine cooler (really neat), and a bunch of CD's, including a 2 disc CD of Eric Claption on tour, and the Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack. Life is good when lighthouses become gifts to be enjoyed, and others look for unique lighthouse gifts througout the year.

My parents gave me one gift this year, but I LOVE it! It was a Nikon 17-35mm lens! I'm so excited about going to Chicago in four days! I can't wait to put it through its paces!

No lighthouses as I'm on autoship, but, I did get the "green stuff" to help pay for the new releases this spring and my other half has committed to giving me the four new hot air balloons as soon as they come out in January. All in all I made out pretty good. Rich

I had a very good Christmas. I got 8 HL's: the Cross Over Island Christmas 2002 piece. all four 2002 ornaments (one from each child), and LLOM Point Arena, LLOM Pointe Vicente, LLOM Ponce. Some cash for more HL's. Jean Guichard's Les Gardiens De Lumiere photo album with 20 of his best Lighthouse photos. Three non-HL ornaments, and Cape Hatteras snow globe. I didn't receive any Harbour Lights, but I received a beautiful piece of artwork of South Haven Michigan light by Bev Schreiber. It's a signed limited edition. Is anyone familiar with her work? It's very nice.I also received what I thought was an oil painting but is actually needlework by another individual of a lighthouse scene; many hours went in to both pieces by these artists and they're both outstanding.
I also received a new display cabinet, my first one!

I didn't get any Harbour Lights lighthouses for Christmas but I did give a couple away. I got Barb and Chad the Old Minot's ledge Light for Christmas. Chad has 1 - 4 - 3 engraved in his wedding band. They were going to have it engraved in both of their bands but Barb's didn't the have room to do it. They did this when they got married not knowing about the Minot's light pattern connection..
I also gave away an Old Michigan City Lighthouse at a gathering of Sue's family (20+) in a Christmas drawing. I forget the name of it, but everybody puts in a wrapped gift and then draws a number. You go in order with #1 picking a wrapped present first and the #2 picking a wrapped present or what #1 had already unwrapped etc etc.. Barb ended up with the lighthouse as the last present that was picked off of the table and no one had the opportunity to take it away from her.. She was very happy about that!
I did get a Hatteras night light from Santa!
Onward to The Land of the Midnight Sun!

My wife bought me Boon Island for Christmas. I've never "allowed" anyone to buy Harbour Lights for me in the past. They're a bit on the expensive side, and nobody knows exactly what I do and don't have. However, after receiving one, maybe it's not a bad thing for other people to buy them for me. On another note, I found the LE St Augustine I've been looking for, and I found Hillsboro for a wonderful price. I'll just include those as Christmas presents for myself. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday, Harbour Lights or not.

My husband built me not one, but two new cabinets to display my HL collection. One is full now, but the other is holding Boyds, and other things while new lights are found and purchased The cabinets are 77" high by 48" wide and 18" deep with 5 shelfs and a sixth shelf at the both that is behind wooden doors for some small storage. The doors and the sides are glass, but the shelfs are wooden to support the weight of the lights. My family in VA surprised me with 5 new HL LE lights this year, (one though is an early birthday gift). Hook Head, Ireland Horton Pt, NY Mukilteo, WA Cape Henry VA Wind Pt, WI Guardians of the Night Lights Cape Hatteras, Bodie Is., and Currituck were also under my tree. I also received 2 lighthouse books Ultimate Book of Lighthouses Lighthouse Psalms Non-lighthouse gifts included a crystal dragon, a red lacquer dragon, silver earrings, a porcelain court jester and some cash! Happy Holidays to all! MelJB

I didn't get any HL's but I did take a Lighthouse trip for Christmas. Went down to Key West laid out on the beach where the tempature was 77 degrees Christmas Day! Visited Boca Grande, Boca Gande Rear Range Light, Sanibel, Jupiter Inlet, Hillsboro, Cape Florida, Fowey Rocks, Caryfort Reef, Alligator Reef, Sombrero Key, American Shoal, Key West, and Sand Key. We wanted to take the ferry out to see the Dry Tortugas and Loggerhead Key but it was booked up for the next 4 days and we didn't have time to stay. So Christmas was GREAT even without HL's under my tree! Did get a Lighthouse Door Mat form my Daughter, and a Lighthouse Wind Chime from a friend. Stephanie

A lot of lighthouse stuff. Race Rock le, New London Ledge glow, video on Cape Cod lights, 7 books on lighthouses and 4 lighthouse tree ornaments. One book was the new Elinor Dewire book on Mid Atlantic Lighthouses which I have almost finished. The big suprise with this book came when I opened it to the contents page and there was a double page picture of East Point lighthouse.
