We hate to see the NTFG disappear completely. John has a good point in suggesting it may need a rest for a few months.
These puzzles have been so much fun, even if we do have to spend a lot of time researching. We’ve learned a lot about lighthouses just from the necessary research. Thank you for your dedication in keeping these puzzles difficult
and fun. We monitored the game for a few days and it was time consuming. Had to keep checking for e-mail guesses, come up with clues, tally the scores, etc. And we had the easy part. Didn’t have to come up with the actual puzzle.
Is it possible one reason participation is down is because it’s summertime and most people aren’t locked to their computers like some of us?
Here are some suggestions:
Maybe one lighthouse puzzle a week. (Five puzzles are overwhelming)
Limit the number of lighthouses in one puzzle to 2, except for the final one in the Round.
More clues.
Keep the scoring as is. It gives more people a change to accumulate points.
Thanks again George!
