What's with all the LLOM on eBay? There sure are a lot of Little Lights of Mine on eBay lately. I would say of the 339 Harbour Light items on eBay tonight, at least 25% of them are LLOM's. The funny part is that sometimes the bids seem to go quite high in regards to actual retail value. Then you have to pay shipping and insurance. All the LLOM's are all open editions so why would a person pay a premium price for some of them? Can't they just go to a dealer that handles LLOM and order each piece they want if the dealer doesn't have it in stock? Bob

Correct..... you can order them from the dealer if they do not have a particular one in stock.

Bob,
It's just another example of the lack of legwork that some people do before bidding on eBay.
These same people are often the first to complain that they have been hoodwinked and overcharged if someone points it out to them.
Some people just get caught up in the bidding and don't care about the value.

a lot of them are not bidded on either. I wonder if dealers are unloading stock to others who put them on e-bay

I don't know if Harbour Lights offers any incentives to dealers to buy large quantities of pieces. Maybe the smaller dealers look at it as a way to keep some of the merchandise moving during slow times. We must remember that not everyone lives close to a HL dealer. Besides that, each time a package arrives at your home, it feels like Christmas! Bob

Speaking of LLOM, I just bought 5 of them off of eBay. I found a spot where LE's don't fit and decided to utilize that display area for a few New England/New York LLOM. With shipping, they cost me about $10 each. Bob

The LLOM on Ebay really get on my nerves. I hate wading through page after page of LLOM to find the assorted LE's. I wish they would just add LLOM to the description on the search page.
There's nothing worse than thinking you've found a Cape Neddick for $15.00 only to click the link and find out it's a LLOM.

Ah yes, another true "eBayer" heard from! I do the same thing, Lou. I go through eBay on a daily basis and find myself fast-forwarding that slide bar to get through the LLOM. I have bought numerous LLOM from the main seller and she is a great person to deal with. She's the one that starts off at $8.92 on all the LLOM. The confusing ones are the ones that people are willing to pay well over retail pricing for something that should not be increasing in value through the years. Bob
