I would like to introduce myself. I am a lighthouse lover from NJ. My favorite lighthouse is the Sea Girt Light, in Sea Girt, NJ. This is where my username came from. I do not collect Harbour Lights, except for "This Little Light of Mine." I will probably be seen most in places like the Map Room, planning lighthouse tours and events. I hope for this to become a valuable LH rescource for me.

B.T.W.-What are the different levels (e.g. Wacko) that can be achieved and how many posts are needed to gain each level?

Welcome Seagirt. You've picked a great place to come for all kinds of lighthouse info. These guys and gals on the forums are packed full of more info than one might know to ask for at first. The best part is that you usually get a rather quick answer back!

Seagirt is a great light. I don't get there too often as most of my lighthouse trips into NJ end up at Sandy Hook where I give tours.

I've seen already that you have been busy posting. Keep it up! I'm looking forward to reading many more from you.

Welcome Seagirt. I like the name and I like the lighthouse. Seagirt is one from outside of New England that I have in my collection of HL's. Great to have you with us and looking forward to your posts and your lighthouse tours and events.

Welcome aboard SeaGirt!

I'm another NJ Wacko. I've actually reached the next plateau- Super Wacko which to answer your previous question takes 500 posts.

Cruise Director and Saint are bestowed for service above and beyond the norm. Actually, Cruise Directors maintain specific forums to make sure there are no problems and those that crop upo are dealt with quickly. It makes John's life easier.

I've also been a Volunteer at Sandy Hook in the past as well as with the New Jersey Lighthouse Society.

You should consider coming to the next NJLHS meeting which is next month sometime probably 3-15 in Audobon, NJ (at least according to the latest Lighthouse Digest)

The website http://njlhs.burlco.org/ says it hasn't been determined yet.

This is the Annual Photo Contest so check the website for details.

Marblehead, Mass. Lighthouse, you will always have a very special place in our hearts. ....We've made the journey as far south as New Jersey, as far north as Canada. Over 100 lighthouses visited.... and so many more to go.

Welcome Seagirt,

It looks like you have already discovered what a great place this is. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Wish I had more time to spend on-line. Last time I checked, I was still a newbie...

wheland-

thanks for the meeting info. I am thinking of joining the NJLHS. It might be nice to go to a meeting and see what it's all about before joining, though.

We always welcome guests at the meetings.

You are personally invited to attend the next meeting. You can join then or later- or not at all.

There is usually a big turnout for the Photo contest meeting. Keep checking that site.

Seagirt, did I see you and you wife at the Fort in Hilton Head last Tuesday? I saw two people on a tour with Seagirt hats on. Wouldn't that be a coincidence?

Bob-

That wouldn't be me. I am not married, but rather just a lighthouse-obsessed teen.

Stealing your ID.
Nice to meet you. We have a few other lighthouse obsessed teens here. Jakers and Heather come immediately to mind. This is a good place to find info on LHs. Pretty soon you'll be telling us some lh stuff we didn't know. Look foward to you participation.
