As I write this, the second day of the
2007 Maryland Lighthouse Challenge is taking place!
This first day was awesome and we couldn't have asked for better weather....
I have a question for anyone who attended or has knowledge of the
"special" boat ride with Bill Younger on Friday morning that went out to visit and go into Thomas Point Shoal light. This event was a special event in which ONLY a handful of people took Bill Younger to see his favorite lightouse and allowed him to go inside the light for his very "first" time.
In recognition of this, as most of us know, a special LLOM Thomas Point Shoal with backstamp was issued and offered through the Calvert Marine Museum. However, another version of this light does exisit....
Can anyone who attended or have knowledge of the event please post a brief synopsis of this special event, perhaps with pictures.
