Amanda,

I edited your image link to get it to work. First, you forgot "lighthouses" as a subdirectory in the path to the picture so AOL was looking for the pic in the wrong place. (2) apparently you don't need to include the ".jpg" extension for AOL stuff. I worked my way to the picture and got it to open. I also did a right click on the name and copied a shortcut which I posted in your text. I don't know why your version would not post when I addedd "lighthouses" and deleted ".jpg", because the link I posted is exactly the same. oh well, at least it works!

A very interesting picture you have there. You can quickly tell why we so much appreciate the power plant across the river, behind the light. Sure does screw up great pictures! You need to work a little digital magic and make the power plant go away.

Mark,

You forgot the stacks to the right........ the ones coming up out of the trees but without limbs and leaves.

Didn't know this was a full service operation, did you Amanda?

You know, I've got a couple good shots with the powerplant in the background. I never thought of doing that. God, I'm such a rookie....

Thank you everyone for your help! I was about to give up on trying to post pictures, but I think I have it now.

Amanda, your main problem was what Dave pointed out, that the file did not have the extension ( .jpg ) in the future when you upload to your storage space just add the extension to the name when you upload it such as michigancity.jpg or .gif or whatever it is. You can go back and rename the file correctly by going to your ftp space, then click the file once to highlight it, then click the utilities button then click the rename button and rename it with the extension. If you didn't upload it from "my FTP space" you can access it by typing my FTP space in the keyword box.
