Pacific NW Harbour Lights Club - 11/10/01 09:02 PM

Are you interested in starting a Harbour Lights Club in the Pacific Northwest? If so, email me or post a response here. I am thinking about starting one in the greater Seattle area primarily meeting three or four times a year. Any other thoughts?

Yes, I'm interested. Perhaps it could be a lighthouse lovers club - not just HL collectors. I'm sure we'd convert them all over to HL collectors eventually.

I'd love to be part of a club. I work full time but will do what I can to help get it organized.

Larry, that is a great idea and may help to gain the club members who otherwise may feel that they didn't belong, especially if they are not collectors.

When NELL first started out, in 1998, we were know as "New England Harbour Lights Collectors Club" (NEHLCC). We soon had many members who collected other companies miniatures, didn't collect at all, enjoyed visiting and photographing lighthouses or studying their history, as well as wanting to help preserve them.

The name of the club was changed to "New England Lighthouse Lovers" (NELL) as everyone loved lighthouses (and still do).

The club could be "Northwest Lighthouse Lovers" (NWLL).

Good Luck with the formation of the club. I would be interested in joining, so please keep me posted Darlene.

Thanks.

There are lots of us who love your Washington lighthouses enough to try and see some of them each year.....we'll look forward to knowing about the "lighthouse lovers club" as well!
