I thought I read in a CF tread somewhere that not all lighthouses can be made as Harbour Lights models?

Is privately owned lighthouses off limits, or do you need to get permission from the owner?

Well I know they did St Joseph Pt Fl and it's a privately owned light. I once had a guided tour of the light thanks to an friend who was quick talking and female. She talked up the owner and he gave us a tour. I remember him stating that he was a little miffed when he first heard HL released his light, because they did not speak with him. From what he said he loved the piece and would have helped them in any way if they had asked. He had a nice collection of artifacts from the lighthouse and local area.

CONANICUT, RI, last years Christmas piece is also a privately owned light that has been done. I'm sure there are more. Let's hear it from the collectors.

Cold Spring Harbor was made, a surprise to it's owners when they received the LE.

When I selected Sister Island, NY to be made Kim told me making an HL of a privately owned lighthouse was not an issue.
